If the merchant doesn’t have a positive balance in the booking currency in Payyo, the refund will remain in the status “waiting for approval”.
The following possibilities can happen:
- The merchant sends money via an inpayment link to Payyo and the amount is added to the balance of the merchant account. From that moment, refunds can be processed again.
- The merchant receives again enough new bookings that increase his account balance in Payyo. These funds are used to process any pending refunds.
- The merchant rejects refunds manually after checking with their Terms of Service and communicating with the customer for cancellation reasons.
- After 30 days without enough positive balance, refunds get automatically rejected by the system.
